Community
  • Dedicated chorister at First Presbyterian Church of Burlington for over fifteen years (though I have taken a break for campaign season!). I also ring in the Carillon Choir and have taken on starting a Youth Choir this year.

  • Church leader, serving two terms as a Ruling Elder and leading initiatives in church communications and strategic visioning. I also served on the Pastor Nominating Committee, an intense two-year search committee for our Senior Pastor.

  • Founding board member of Centerpoint Classical Academy, a classical charter school scheduled to open in Fall 2027 in Southeast Guilford. An interest in classical education and Core Knowledge curriculum led me to this appointment, and through it, I've had the opportunity to present in front of the North Carolina Charter School Review Board and attend trainings hosted by DPI regarding public and charter school governance.

  • Community leader, including board service for the Alamance Chamber, Family Abuse Services, and the Love School of Business Graduate Programs Advisory Board. I've enjoyed showing up as a Reading Buddy at Andrews Elementary, elementary career fairs, and an occasional Habitat Women's Build!
